We all do what we want to do, but doing what we want to do is not that easy. There are various reasons we are unable to follow things we desire. This year i.e. 2020 I want to help you and myself to achieve goals. I have found various methods and tricks that can help us with the same.
Main thing:
The concept is that starting something new when we have a different environment. Therefor you might have noticed people changing their life when they shift to new place or start a new job or do something different. These all things are helping us create a different environment which in turn help us focus easily on the new task as we change all our different tasks in accordance to our new work. you might have heard the adage "Wherever you go there you are". This means that changing things around you cant always change the way you deal with things as you are the same person. also new year isn't like a place that when you reach there all your problems will solve, just because its 0000 instead of 2359, things aren't suddenly gonna change for you, you will have to work differently to achieve things differently.The new year resolution also works the same way, but there is a minor trick, instead of being a big change or boost new year work as caffeine or energy drink which provide us boost but for a small time. So, how to use this small boost to achieve long term goal.
1. Start Early
Don't wait for new year to roll in, start your work now whether it is to learn a new instrument, start a blog, youtube channel, building a website, going to gym. Because you need to make time in your life for things you want to do and because of that when new year rolls in you will have time as well as the boost to go through it.2. Start Small
Don't build goals that are very hard to achieve, like going to gym every day for month, instead do it like for a week and if feels good do it for another week and so and so on, but be dedicated for a week. Because due to that you will have tendency to follow it for that week and maybe complete the whole year with that.3. Write stuff down
Feedback is the most important tool to get you going, use this to help you sort things out for you, write how much have you done or how much you haven't. Write in a notebook or any note taking app, there are a lot, for me I use Notion its a great tool and give free premium account for students and teachers if you login with your institute's id.Things you should do:
1. Start eating healthy
2. Start reading good things
3. Start working out
4. Stop worrying about everything (Compassion Fatigue)
Compassion Fatigue: We are exposed to all the news all the time making think that we need to worry about everything all the time. This year stop worrying about few things to focus better of important things that matters to you and your surroundings.
